Kelly Carlisle

Registered Nurse

Kelly began nursing as an Assistant in Nursing in aged care at the age of 21. During her time away from formal employment while raising her three young children, she completed her Nursing Degree through Charles Sturt University, graduating with First class Honours. Kelly has a keen interest in cardiovascular and respiratory health, undertaking studies in the management of Asthma, COPD and smoking cessation. She has also trained in wound management, immunisation, women’s health and diabetes management.

Kelly is looking to complete a Masters in Chronic Disease Management in the future with a focus on preventative healthcare in the community setting. Working in local general practice for some time now, Kelly has enjoyed educating patients about how to live well with their health concerns. At Equilibrium Healthcare she is excited to be able to broaden her focus and to equip patients to make wise decision that prevent chronic health issues. Partnering with community members as they look towards better health, Kelly is keen to support patients at Equilibrium Healthcare in a caring and committed team environment, where the patient is number one.

Jackie Carroll

Registered Nurse

Jackie Carroll has been fortunate to have lived and worked in Helensburgh for the past 10 years as a Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse, Child Health Nurse, International board of lactation consultant and most recently Endorsed Midwife.

Jackie enjoys working with women throughout their pregnancy and beyond! “It is lovely when a woman presents for her subsequent pregnancy and the whole journey starts again!”

Antenatal shared care offers women 10 or more visits over the prenatal period and then supports their individual breastfeeding and postnatal journey onwards.

Jackie currently works alongside Equilibrium Healthcare general practitioners to provide antenatal care.

Jackie offers private home visits after baby is born and has a 3-visit package for all her shared care women available – ask reception for more information.

Jackie is also an IBCLC and is happy to support the breastfeeding dyad with the most trusted source of breastfeeding information. Child checks can be booked in alongside age checks in baby blue book.

Jackie’s goal is to incorporate her new Midwifery Medication Endorsement certification and collaborate with local public hospitals for a shared care journey through private antenatal shared cared Midwifery.

Rebecca Vossen

Rebecca Vossen

Registered Nurse

Rebecca Vossen has been a registered nurse for 17 years and a registered midwife for 14years. Graduating from the University of Sydney and completed training in the St George Public hospital both as an RN and RM. She has experience in surgical, peri-operative, critical care and Midwifery within the public health system working over St George and Sutherland hospitals.  

Rebecca is also familiar with community nursing and has worked in primary practice, improving her experience in preventative health, chronic conditions and immunisations.    

She hopes to contribute to the team by bringing her enriched experience and fun-loving nature.  

Emily J

Emily Johnstone

Registered Nurse
Graduating from Wollongong University in 2010, Emily is a Registered Nurse with over 13 years of invaluable experience across various peri-operative roles. Her return to our practice brings a wealth of expertise and a deeply compassionate approach to patient care, having previously worked here during its inception and again in 2021.

Emily's professional journey has cultivated a diverse skill set, encompassing scrub, scout, anaesthetic, recovery, and recent experience as a Nurse Unit Manager. Her extensive background includes involvement in a wide spectrum of surgeries, ranging from general procedures to intricate neurosurgical interventions.

Known for her positive attitude and empathetic demeanor, Emily contributes to a healing atmosphere within our practice, fostering a sense of support and optimism among both colleagues and patients alike.

Motivated by a relentless pursuit of knowledge, Emily is eager to apply her skills and compassionate nature to enhance patient care in any healthcare setting, steadfast in her belief that every interaction holds the potential to make a positive impact.
Brittany Smith

Brittany Smith

Registered Nurse

Brittany began nursing at 17 years of age as an assistant in nursing at a rehabilitation hospital where she found a love for nursing. She went on and did her enrolled nursing course and continued her studies to become a registered nurse. She graduated with high distinctions, with a favourite area of hers being family and children’s health.  She has since worked in critical care, aged care, medical, surgical, and orthopaedic wards within the public health system, working at Sutherland and Wollongong Hospitals.

She is keen to build rapport with patients while educating them on a healthy life and working together with the interdisciplinary team to achieve this. She is looking forward to undertaking studies in women’s health and cardiovascular health this year as they have always been areas of interest.  Brittany hopes to contribute her knowledge to the experienced team at Equilibrium healthcare.
