Appointments & Fees
(as at 1/7/2024)

Our fees and charges.

Equilibrium Healthcare is a completely Private billing Practice. This means that all patients, even those with a pension or healthcare card, will be charged an out-of-pocket fee.

Our aim is to keep these out-of-pocket costs to a minimum. Medicare rebates generally appear in your nominated bank account within 24 hours. If you are unsure if you have a linked bank account, or need to update any details, you can do so through your MyGov or Medicare Express app.

Our reception team is very happy to help you through this process if required.

We hope you understand why we need to charge a fee on top of the Medicare rebate, however if you have extenuating circumstances or are experiencing financial difficulties, please discuss this with your treating Doctor.

Your health remains our priority and we will be doing all we can to ensure your healthcare needs are met.

Medicare has strict guidelines and therefore some telehealth appointments may not be covered by Medicare and may incur an out of pocket fee. If covered by Medicare you should receive your rebate from Medicare within 24hrs of your consultation. Please note pre-payment is required for all telephone and telehealth(video) appointments. Book through HotDoc for more information or call recetption on 4294 1955
Please speak to our reception team for more information.

You must wear a mask to all appointments. A surgical mask is preferred as they are proven to be more effective than a cloth mask.

Please be sure to book the appropriate amount of time with your doctor to help us run to time. For 1 issue, a standard 15 minute appointment will be sufficient, for 2 or more issues, or 1 complex issue, please book a long appointment.

New Patients: You must book a long appointment for your first appointment. If you have not been seen at this practice since Dec 2018 you will be considered a new patient.
If you were previously seen by Dr Kemper or Dr Roberts at HFP / Dr Beaufils practice, you are still considered a new patient. This is to enable the best possible care for you and the collection of a full and proper recording of your medical history and current health status.
For new patients booked this initial appointment will be charged privately for all patients and is payable on the day (cancellation fees apply). If a long appointment is not available on-line, please call reception. If the required length of time is not booked you may be required to return on another day to address any remaining issues.
Please print and complete the new patient form and bring it to your appointment.

Please phone the practice shortly before your appointment time to check if your practitioner is running late. We can then advise you of a better arrival time as we are adhering to social distancing requirements and need to limit the number of people in the practice at any one time.

Do not attend the practice If you have any cold or flu symptoms including running nose, sore throat, cough, fever, ear ache, loss of taste or smell.
